Today, 14 children living with cerebral palsy at St. Charles Lwanga Cerebral Palsy Day Care Centre received a lifechanging gift of mobility through the @SondeRotary and its partners.
The mobility assistive devices were handed over by @rotaryd9213 Governor @GKitakule and donated by the @MinofHealthUG through the @MulagoReferral Orthopaedic Department.
The intervention followed a recommendation by Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Stephen Byarugaba of Children's Medical Centre, Bugolobi, after a medical assessment conducted earlier this year where he identified that some children urgently needed mobility support.
For children living with cerebral palsy, mobility is often a barrier to education, therapy, social interaction, and independence. These devices are more than wheelchairs they are pathways to dignity, inclusion, and opportunity.
With each valued at UGX 1.5 million, the 14 devices represent an investment of UGX 21 million in transforming young lives and empowering families.
