I want people to remember Sivenathi Toto as the young woman she was before the attack.
Sive was only 23.
In August 2022 she was attacked so severely in George that her life changed permanently. According to the case before court, she was dragged from her home, assaulted until she lost consciousness and then dumped near a petrol station.
She survived.
But she suffered severe brain damage and a stroke. She lost her ability to speak and walk independently and is now permanently wheelchair-bound and dependent on other people for her daily care.
The man accused of attacking her was reportedly granted bail the day after his arrest.
Action Society became involved and continued monitoring her case. Four years later, the court process is still continuing.
When we talk about GBV victims, we understandably speak about the women who have been murdered.
But there are also women like Sive.
Alive, but carrying catastrophic injuries for the rest of their lives.
Her life cannot simply become another forgotten court file because she survived.
Say her name too.

We are in call centers with our public administration and international relations degrees. It’s not because we don’t want to. Last time I job hunted within my field the guy called me baby and asked to take a drive with me to PMB. Didn’t wanna submit a shaved CV👎🏿
They forgot her… but we won’t.
On September 11, 2001, Genelle Guzman-McMillan was working on the 64th floor of the North Tower when it collapsed. She was buried beneath concrete and steel, trapped in darkness with only one arm free.
For 27 hours, she waited, prayed and cried for help.
Then rescuers heard her voice. A hand reached through the rubble and found hers.
Genelle was the last person pulled alive from the World Trade Center ruins. She survived, endured multiple surgeries and eventually learned to walk again.
Her story deserves to be remembered.
We do not glorify violence. We remember the lives behind history so we never forget the human cost.
Matlhomola Moshoeu was a 16 year old black boy killed after being accused of stealing sunflowers worth R80, about five U.S. dollars.
Two white farmers, Pieter Doorewaard and Phillip Schutte, pushed him from a moving van, causing fatal neck injuries. He died on 20 April 2017. They claimed he jumped. The court rejected that. Both were convicted of murder, kidnapping, intimidation, theft and pointing a firearm.
The judge called their actions towards Moshoeu DISGRACEFUL and said his death had a DEVASTATING EFFECT on his family and polarised the Coligny community.
That is the story being erased when crosses representing fake "White Genocide" are planted in Washington.
My fellow 🇿🇦
The board that decided to fire him:
🔸Tshuma: Dead 🇿🇼 in 991

🔸Him: decided to fire himself
The silence on this case that came up on Madlanga remains loud and Deafening ! Namhla Mthwa deserves justice . Her sister who spoke up leaves in fear and hiding . She has been attacked, harassed and forced out of her home because the powers that be turned a blind eye ! We shouldn’t be silent about things that matter . Repost this case again !
Does Palesa Thembeka Matlala know that she's a director to a multimillion Rand company and if yes then why is Palesa still working as a cashier at Boxer earning R7k p/m? @Dotransport@SANRAL_za@SAPoliceService
