Every generation needs its brave voices. They are often inconvenient, sometimes uncomfortable, but they are the ones who push society forward. Perhaps it is age, perhaps it is motherhood, but my heart aches when I see young people behind bars for speaking their minds.

I have immense respect for those with the courage to stand up for what they believe in, even when the cost is high.
Today, I am thinking of Mehrab Khalid, Imaan Mazari, Mahrang Baloch, and Ali Wazir and the other suppressed and silenced youth of Pakistan who seeing their fate have crushed their hopes desire and dreams.
