I will never understand the growing hatred and utter disdain for the Raimi Trilogy particularly with the new gens.

I rewatched Spider-Man 2 recently, and honestly you could argue it’s the best superhero movie of all time. The moment where a powerless Peter Parker runs into a burning building to save a child from fiery death is the single most heroic moment in any superhero movie ever.

This villain along with the rest in the early montage were literally just low-hanging nostalgia bait. They ended up having no major role at all. A huge disappointment for me personally.

Would have taken Tombstone hiring Scorpion, Boomerang, and Tarantula to hunt Spider-Man down over “wait till you see the X-Men movie coming soon”-ass Jean Grey. They said this movie was street level, but it felt like a mini-Avengers movie in terms of scale if anything. When you say “street level,” I think the Maggia, Kingpin, and the criminal underworld. Not a telepathic domestic terrorist.
