@BloatMcQueen Because they didn’t work for free, they got paid well for their time. Now I think if you wanna make the argument, they should go back and pay the people who volunteered on the film, or give extra to the people who want multiple hats to keep the budget down that’s a conversation
@LegereTacite@DekuTier14598@PsytheStudent@zerowontmiss Again, I think specifically for the Indie world no one’s expecting the movies to do well and often people are overworked underpaid and wearing more hats than they should be on that set. To be able to say hey thanks for working with us, especially a non-union production.
@DekuTier14598@PsytheStudent@zerowontmiss Look, I don’t know how things are in the states, but I have worked on a lot of Indie features usually people are wearing many hats and doing more work than they are being paid for. People get bonuses in regular jobs in the state don’t they?
@PsytheStudent@zerowontmiss I think this is the most fair take! Especially in the Indie world it would be wonderful if everyone on the crew got a bonus of the movie did well. It could literally just be. One percent of the box office will go towards the crew split. If it reaches over $100 million profit.
@gothgfdotrip Arguably, yes, it is. They didn’t take any financial risk and they got paid for the job they did. That being said if they worked above and beyond they could’ve asked for points on the back end. Or extra money on the day.
@Teslimatttt It’s simple physics the faster something moves the less dense. It needs to be to penetrate an object in theory if you moved a feather or a piece of string fast enough, it could go through someone like a bullet.
@josiahhughes I mean, I agree, but also of course he’s unconfident. He hasn’t made a lot of movies before, they did this a lot during the filming apparently where they would do alternative takes of certain scenes just in case and they found it in the edit. This is not a good way to make a film
@Romudeth It’s like dispatch it’s a way for them to get cheap Marketing for the game, they literally just pay them the cost of a average performance capture actor for a very small part and then that streamer is likely to play the game to go through themselves
