White Privilege is violating the Governor’s Executive Order and standing on the Capitol steps with assault weapons and guns without being fined or tear gassed by police yet Black and Brown Detroiters were fined $1,000 for going to the park.
Unreal.
I recently heard something I can’t unhear: Over 80% of the feedback women receive at work is about their personality; not their work. I know it’s true.
My life started getting better when I stopped pouring into cups that don't pour into mine. Family, friends, colleagues & acquaintances included. I know it sounds harsh but you deserve to be treated as good as you treat others. You deserve people who show up for you.
Girls, please PICK THE GENTLE ONE. The kind one. The one who brings you peace. The protective one. The one who is sure of you. The one who respects you. The one who understands your silence.. The one who sees your heart without judgment. The one who holds your dreams with care.
Once you realize people hate themselves and have low self esteem, you’ll understand why they're so nasty, competitive, and pessimistic. Let them tend to that misery alone.
1. Saving money will make you feel broke while actually making you wealthy.
2. Setting boundaries will make you feel alone as you build new healthy relationships in your life.
3. Digging up your trauma will make you feel broken even as it heals you.
4. Working out makes you feel weak while it actually makes you stronger.
5. Learning something new makes you feel dumb while simultaneously increasing your intelligence.
One thing adulthood has taught me is that I am not above anything. Homelessness, death, no job, literally anything can happen. Hence, I must never be too quick to speak over situations I’ve never found myself in. No one is above anything, not even your good actions can save you from your fair share of trials.
Life is crazy. Tables turn. Always stay humble & be grateful. ✌
I’VE SEEN PEOPLE WORKOUT AT 4 AM BEFORE WORKING TWO JOBS. I’VE KNOWN INTROVERTS WHO BECAME GREAT COMMUNICATORS WHEN AN IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP NEEDED IT. I’VE SEEN PEOPLE WHO WEREN’T “READY” SUDDENLY COMMIT TO THE RIGHT PERSON. PEOPLE GIVE EFFORT TO WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO THEM
Today marked a powerful moment for Detroit as Mayor Mary Sheffield convened her first cabinet meeting. A new chapter is underway, the work continues, and together we will rise higher.

my therapist advised, "learn to calm your own storm instead of venting to others. it may feel therapeutic to let it all out, but you reinforce negative thoughts. it’s no one’s job but yours to pull yourself out of your problems. journal, meditate, exercise, and release." felt that
If you’re learning any skill, in your first 30 days, learn and start building projects as early as possible.
One mistake a lot of beginners make is staying in learning mode for too long. You keep watching tutorials, saving resources, taking notes, and before you know it, you’re stuck in a learning loop.
And the longer you stay there, the harder it becomes to come out.
If you want to learn fast, the best thing you can do is practice through projects. Even small ones. Even unpaid or self-initiated ones.
For example, if you’re learning design, don’t just watch tutorials. Look at businesses around you and recreate their designs. Create mock projects. Work on real problems. That’s how the skill starts to stick.
Learning loops can mess with your confidence.
They make you feel like you don’t know enough (olodo).
And then you start postponing visibility.
Which brings me to the next thing: put yourself out there.
I talk about this a lot because visibility changes things. Sharing what you’re learning, what you’re building, and what you’re improving creates opportunities you won’t get in silence.
Lastly, pay attention to where you’re struggling.
Be honest with yourself. Notice what you’re not doing well and deliberately work on those areas instead of avoiding them. Self-awareness speeds up growth more than motivation ever will.
The goal of your first 30 days isn’t perfection.
It’s progress, practice, and presence.
If you’re already learning a skill, you’re on the right path.
Just make sure you’re not only learning. Make sure you’re building too.
Enjoy your day
unpopular opinion but a lot of “mental health issues” disappear when bills are paid, rent is secure, and the fridge is full. peace is expensive and pretending money doesn’t affect mental health is privilege.
Some remote jobs only operate between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM, which is why hardly anyone applies.
I’ve identified overnight remote jobs paying up to $100 per hour in USD.
Here’s each job and why they pay so much👇
