Priorities session at the #ScotBatConf highlights the need for more bat rehabilitators in #Scotland. There is online training available. Bat carers don't just save bats but also do huge amounts of engagement and education through awareness raising https://t.co/L0XKCIPOzK
Echo in the dark from @HannaTuulikki#ScotBatConf Singing and dance are ways to explore the world and tell stories. Environmental concerns have driven her art including this bat themed project. https://t.co/QS2RlejfW2
A bat box scheme that has run since the 1990's has offered @EleriLurr a long term data set to examine the impact of landscape habitat changes. Her MSc project had already revealed some interesting changes #ScotBatConf
The MOTUS research has already revealed some exciting findings. Note the one image where the bat disappears over the English Channel. We cant be sure what happened to it but being killed by wind turbines is a possibility https://t.co/g7FgX1rvBn #ScotBatConf
No MOTUS receivers in Scotland yet but @lucyjayneryan is hoping a receiver will go up the the Isle of May. 3 receivers will go up in Tayside. These will offer the opportunity to study #bats + birds. Really interesting questions that could be answered with this tech #ScotBatConf

Greg the brown long eared bat being released by the River Almond in Perth tonight. He chose to roost in a pallet last week and ended up inside a warehouse. Choose your roosts more wisely in future Greg!
TBG and friends Scottish Wild Beaver Group stalls out for the first time since 2018 at Blairgowrie Highland Games. After heavy rain in the morning it was a good day with lots of visitors - especially lots of Americans over for the Highland Games. Lots of batty talk 😀
Tayside Bat Group members on a BLE annual roost count and afterwards down at a nearby loch watching pipistrelles and Daubenton's feeding over the loch. Great end to #internationalbatweekend 😀
Clive the soprano pipistrelle who will be making a guest appearance at the Tayside Bat Group bat walk in Perth tonight where he will be released 😀 #InternationalBatNight@_BCT_
Perth bat walk last night celebrating #internationalbatnight where Clive the rescue pipistrelle was released and we enjoyed a batty talk from Jean, followed by a walk along the North Inch with zooming pipistrelles and Daubenton's along the River Tay @_BCT_#lovebats@BatConIntl
Its a bit dark but you can see Clive the soprano pipistrelle flying off😀 He made an unwise decision to gatecrash a nearby sheltered housing complex and was evicted! He was given a feed and after passing his test flight he was ready for release😀
