I didn’t worry 1 sec about our GK position this season. Not our CB positions, not our LB position, not our pivot players

What I did worry about was our RB depth, our attacking midfield efficiency, our wingers output/creativity & our strikers natural fit

Hjulmand as a cheaper 6 option than Tonali

If Rogers is our main man why not a cheap Leao to challenge him

I could get behind Cala LCB and buying Lewis Hall for the LB in this type of set-up

@Nellywit Calafiori Rice Timber behind the 8s, creative enough for me. Eze is creative. Odegaard is creative. The point of this midfield is that everyone can play, not just Rice Eze Rogers.

It’s not like Tonali or Anderson or Bouaddi are more creative than this midfield

Inverting FBs with tricky/fast wingers & two attacking 8s

CF: Kroupi
LW: Leao or Barcola
8: Rogers
RB: Livramento or Pallestra
CB: Lacroix

With this we can go like this, but also with Inverted wingers, db pivot & attacking FBs

@GoonerAbhijit People are too hard on Madueke, he has attributes that can be more dangerous than Sakas. They aren’t on the same footballing level but he has been an important rotation option & will probably continue to be that. Dowman can also explode next season and that should even worry Saka

I worry about having non physical speedsters out wide with how our opponents line up

What if we had overlapping fullbacks instead? Brown/Livramento for 100m, thats the flanks sorted

Then we can have an inverter like Rogers and Alvarez/Eze can be the roamers

@harshilkachhawa If Alvarez doesn’t happen I want Rogers 10 and Yildiz LW, MLS can maybe fill in for Rice instead but I’m beginning to feel Odegaard or Zubi are losing their place in this team

We could also do Eze/Odegaard at 10 and go big at CM instead of a SS signing

But attacking overlapping fullbacks with a double pivot and inverted wingers is the way I think we could evolve

But he can’t be our CF playing like that, must be at SS in that case, and that spells the end for Odegaard cause there’s no way he plays double pivot behind a small SS like that. Alvarez in, Odegaard out. Buy Tonali. Or else no

@bisatz Rice, Gabriel, Raya, Saliba are all more the face of this team than both Saka and captain Odegaard, that’s a sad state of affairs for them. I genuinely hope Saka can get back to levels next season
