There plainly isn't even a proper 'deal', just an agreement to discuss certain things. This is a disaster for Trump. He has alienated longstanding and dependable allies, totally isolated his nation, caused Russia and China to laugh up their sleeves, bolstered the liberal-progressive movement (his arch opponents) across Europe and the US, performed a major and humiliating climbdown on his threats - and all for something that his allies and Nato would have been prepared to give him anyway.
