Gearing up to present about low-cost digital collection audits at the EDI 2.0 virtual conference on Thursday, 4 pm EST. Amazing keynote speakers and free registration, too! https://t.co/TbiJzgTL7g #library2023#edi20
@WMHeditor You would have enjoyed the automated Zoom captions on the Association of Asian Studies virtual meetings sessions - they were completely adrift with all the non-English words. Shalom balls is an especially fun one though!
Thanks to Rachel Meyer for bringing me into the project that led to this joint publication in BioScience yesterday -- https://t.co/lmDesVnUoM. Navigating ethics of digital information sharing and equity is complicated, especially when power dynamics are imbalanced.
@siobhanmattison Try sitting cross-legged on the floor and setting a soft chime to go off at an interval - one minute to start maybe. If you are uncomfortable enough that ought to keep you awake! (Great resolution, by the way...)
Is it better to write your text in your native language and have it translated, or to write in English and hire an academic editor?
Dr. Tami @TBlumenfield and I discuss this issue on the latest MultiLingual insights blog.

@tvkatesnow@TODAYshow@SavannahGuthrie Oh yes, I was wondering how to help @SavannahGuthrie (and maybe others too, right?) find her place over there! A friend just started a new deluxe tent/glamping business that might be just the thing... maybe we should do a 2019 reunion tour!
Not quite "no marriage" and a little more complicated than what's portrayed here, but definitely a beautiful place for women (and men too)... check out this story, where I help everyone understand how Mosuo people think about romantic love.
No marriage. Grandmothers in charge. Living with your mom for life. Here again is our full Kingdom of Women story. @todayshow@NBCNightlyNews@NBCNews https://t.co/gBjAdsfCjo
@love194ever@tvkatesnow And if they don't find a man they like, that's no big deal - there's not much pressure to partner up, as there might be elsewhere.
@love194ever@tvkatesnow Hi LMartin, people farm, raise livestock, and nowadays are involved in the tourism economy as well. Kids spend time with their dad's family occasionally, not all that much, though in some families the kids enjoy being in their dad's household and spend a lot of time there.
@tvkatesnow Wonderful to see you again and so fun to hear how enthusiastic the other Today show hosts were about this place! Will have to look into retirement options for the New York media set now... could be the start of a great new trend.
@tvkatesnow@TommyN_NYC@TODAYshow Great job with the Kingdom of Women piece! So fun to be a part of it. Let me know when you're ready for the next trip!
