I agree with Yankee fans. It was wrong and offensive of Tom Hamilton to joke around about Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s batting average.
He should have used OPS+.
Even if it was only for a minute, he made all of us feel like we mattered, & we could tell how much he cared about true journalism.
Scott’s always been one of my favorites, & I’ll follow him wherever he goes next. This certainly won’t be the end for him.
In college, I went on a class trip to NYC to visit multiple news stations.
At CBS, we went into the studio at the same time Scott Pelley was taping an Evening News interview.
He could not have been more gracious, & he left a lasting impression on everyone in that room.
