Enjoying the green at thoughts and insights on Inquiry from @trev_mackenzie from yesterday’s #DitchSummit. When students are curious they will be engaged and excited about learning! We have to plan for curiosity! @DitchThatTxtbk
Heard this quote from Instructional Coach Gurus @jimknight99@CoachJessWise @ClaudiaOwad
“Curiosity supercharges connections!”
The power of curiosity over judgment when we coach, but in our personal lives as well. I want to do better with this especially outside of my coaching
Was blessed to be invited to sit on a panel to celebrate Student Teachers about to enter the profession. Wishing the best to each one of them as they embark on a rewarding adventure and career. There will be many highs and lows, but our students need YOU!
Had a great time #HonoringANobleProfession today @UCO. Seeing almost 100 teacher candidates as they prepare to embark on their life changing careers. Hearing inspiring messages from OK State TOY, Rachel Keith and National TOY, @Missytesterman !
Enjoying reading “AI for Educators” by @jmattmiller! Some good thoughts and insights I am in agreement with!
“For our students’ sake, to prepare them for the future…”

Just completed Unit 2 Journal for my #AppleLearningCoach journey! I am very excited and learning so much! It has been a great growth opportunity for me!
Finished Unit 1 on my way to becoming a Certified Apple Learning Coach! I’m learning a lot on this journey. Excited to dig in and continue to grow! #AppleLearningCoach
Everyday I would meet my Ss at the door. We would work on skills they would need as adults: shake hands, ask a “random question of the day”. It had nothing to do with class, but a chance for us to get to know each other. Even Ss not in my class would come by 4 the question!
@teachergoals For me it was always my coffee cup, my water bottle, and my presentation clicker! I would also walk around the classroom while I taught, set things down and lose track of them. However, my students could always tell by “that look in my eye” and would point out what I misplaced!

I’ve been doing the #MirrorTalk challenge and have truly enjoyed getting into the habit of making time to reflect. Reflection is one of the most powerful of growth both personally and professionally. Thankful for this opportunity to grow in my practice!
I had a great time presenting working with our OKCPS educators the last two days!
Utilizing tech tools in the classroom is great for teachers AND students!

#TeacherOfTheYear: #OKCPS and @FoundationOKCPS are thrilled to announce Mr. Felix Linden of F.D. Moon Middle School as the 2023 OKCPS Teacher of the Year!
Please join us in congratulations and wishing him well in this role!
Who we have in the room with us has a lot to do with what we choose to do before they show up.
You want students?
Plan & teach content like we have been.
You want learners?
Design opportunities for them to be learners in the room you facilitate.
It starts with our choices.
Schools/Districts:
Trying to move learning through Tier 2 & 3 services is an overwhelming task.
Kind of like this.
Focus on Tier 1 instead, putting the life boat back in the ship where it belongs.
