Congratulations to our PhD student, Jhala Criss recently published an article titled “Therapeutic Interventions for Mental Wellness in Correctional Facilities: A Systematic Review” in the International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology.

Our wonderful MSW foundation year students wrapped up their first semester with a research event, where they presented their literature review in a poster format and their databased project in a 3-minute thesis format. Way to step out of your comfort zone!

We are excited to welcome Dr. Ashley Palmer who will be joining the TCU Department of Social Work in Fall 2022 as an assistant professor. Dr. Palmer’s research focuses on healthy development among youth. She has a strong publication record and is a student-centered teacher.
Last week our MSW Foundation students, in collaboration with a class of criminal justice undergraduates and WhenWeLove, collected data from people experiencing unsheltered homelessness to help shape local shelter policy. #leadon#socialchange
