HUGE consumers of water. The META facility by Altoona, IA uses up to 1MM gallons PER DAY at peak. The Microsoft facilities in Des Moines/Weat Des Moines used roughly 75 MM gallons per year. Des Moines area and most suburbs are currently on water restriction due to high nitrate levels as CIWW gets a lot of its raw water from the Racoon and Des Moines rivers. I seriously doubt that Microsoft or META are on any restrictions. Infuriating as a residential consumer. They are also HUGE energy hogs. These locations, once built, employ very few individuals.
