@Grummz I find it interesting that there are so many who write for an enthusiast hobby who generally suck at said hobby. I remember back in the old days of PC Gamer, they had a person who was legit at each of the main game types like FPS, RTS, etc. Perhaps go back to that?

@Grummz Honestly, there's some games that only small indie devs can make, and there's some games only big budget AAA devs can make. It takes all kinds.

I'm expecting a sharp rise in PC gaming piracy due to this whole #EpicGamesStore fiasco. How deep is that Fortnite money pool, especially since Apex Legends has highlighted that the kiddie shooter isn't as invulnerable as we all thought?

@Grummz Between Stadia and Epic Games trying to force themselves into gaming distribution by holding exclusive rights to games in a prison made of Fortnite cash, the near future seems pretty bleak.

@Grummz I don't think this is targetted to gaming enthusiasts though. Impressive as it is, and as shitty as it is to say as someone who games as a primary hobby, Stadia is very obviously designed to target casual markets not unlike mobile titles.

@Grummz I mean, yeah we'll need to play it first, but it's not like they are innovating or re-engineering network architecture and how content is delivered. The default reaction to the promises of empty executive suits should always be skepticism.
