Today, the Russians launched a stone-cold, combined attack on our energy infrastructure. This is a spit in the face of everything the international community is trying to do to stop this war.
It happened right after Putin’s conversation with Trump. After the Americans asked us not to strike Russian energy facilities. At the same time as Putin tries to portray himself as a mediator for the Middle East and attempts to somehow assist his accomplices in Tehran. The level of cynicism is staggering.
This war would have ended long ago if the world had reacted with principle and refused to fall for Russian propaganda. I thank everybody in the world who now pushes for the necessary sanctions against Russian oil, and a proper price cap, one that actually hurts the Russian budget.
Without that, Putin will continue to ignore everything the world is doing to bring peace. He doesn’t personally need peace, he himself is the war. Only a real cash shortage can convince Russia to be less dangerous to its neighbors.
Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam on Israel: "I swear to god there's some people out there just ready to kill and go across borders and take over land that doesn't belong to them, and they should get the fuck out. We don't want to give them our taxes to drop bombs on children. No more!"
Former Utah star Eric Weddle will be on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot for 2026. Should he be added, he'd be only the 2nd player from the University of Utah named to the HOF.
Alex Smith was the 1st recently.
@MarieCoronelSD I'm a patient at UCSD Hillcrest, 7th floor. Im really glad I was here during the earthquake. UCSD Health is very well prepared for earthquake response at their Hillcrest Hospital.
As a result of these days, we see clear support from Europe. Even more unity, even more willingness to cooperate.
Everyone is united on the main issue – for peace to be real, we need real security guarantees. And this is the position of all of Europe – the entire continent. The United Kingdom, the European Union, Türkiye.
Of course, we understand the importance of America, and we are grateful for all the support we’ve received from the United States. There has not been a day when we haven’t felt gratitude. It’s gratitude for the preservation of our independence – our resilience in Ukraine is based on what our partners are doing for us – and for their own security.
What we need is peace, not endless war. And that’s why we say security guarantees are the key to this.
@donwinslow Russia is waiting in the wings to denazify the U.S. with Trump's support. Russia used that false reason to invade Ukraine. They must have some serious kompromat on the Orange One.
