Seeing everyone come together for Texas Chain Saw Day (especially for the game) has had me in my feels today.
Maybe because it sort of feels like a chapter coming to a close as the next asym rolls out, but tcm changed my life and Iโve met so many great people because of it.
So many fun memories with friends and getting to experience it together as both family/victims, both trying hard in tournaments and just being silly with teammates, and the adrenaline rush being the (worst) final girl. Speculating on the story of Maria Flores and the lore, discussing updates - it gave me direction as a creator who had no clue where to start.
Texas Chain Saw gave me something to look forward to during some rough times when I didnโt have much else to be excited about. Iโm forever grateful for all of it.
Itโs wishful thinking, but I can only hope that someday it makes a comeback because itโs evident that thereโs still so much love surrounding this game even after support ended, and itโll be hard finding something else that compares with the charm Muerto County has.
Happy 3 Years, and Happy Texas Chain Saw Day โค๏ธ
Itโs so unfortunate because tcm has been such an incredible game. None are ever perfect, especially not within their first couple of years but the immersive and strategic gameplay, use of teamwork in a 3v4 format, uniqueness of each character both family and victims, lore, environment and ambience, and everything absolutely raised the bar for asymmetrical horror games.
Honestly? From a creative/business standpoint I completely understand not wanting to put out work that might be considered โlower qualityโ after setting the bar so high alongside expenses/potential outsourcing issues, etc., but as a fan and gamer, I really wish this game wouldโve been given just a bit more time and had more transparent communication to the players.
Game development is costly and complex, especially when youโre reaching high. Shit happens. But I will forever mourn the remaining potential of this game though, as thereโs simply nothing else quite like it as of current and it was something truly special.
Greetings Kindred,
The Bloodhunt servers are now closed.
Thank you for all battles in the streets of Prague and the passion you shared over the years. Bloodhunt was shaped by its community, and weโre truly grateful.
The sun has risen over Prague, the hunt is over.
Lowkey think Iโll never truly move on from Texas, like thatโs literally my fav game of all time, but I hope Halloween game can create fun memories similar to it ๐ซถ
@MillaJovovich was in @ResidentEvil and now she's in the recently released DLC for @Hitman.
I am in @Hitman and now I'm in the recently released Resident Evil (@RE_Games).
Both titles finish with the word "Requiem".
Weird? Yes.
There are no coincidences! ๐
