Leadership runs in the family. Here is Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, who grew up accompanying his father, Jomo Kenyatta, and was taught the art of leadership from an early age.
All 3 of them have been country icons for 8 decades in the 20th and 21st centuries:
1.Don Williams (often called the “Gentle Giant” of country music): Died September 8, 2017, at age 78 in Mobile, Alabama, from emphysema.
2.Kenny Rogers : Died March 20, 2020, at age 81 at his home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, of natural causes while in hospice care.
3.Dolly Parton : Died August 25, 2026, at age 80 in Nashville after a brief battle with cancer.
Dolly Parton, the Queen of Country, has given the world a joy that will last for centuries. It may take another hundred years for us to see someone like her in country music again.
The only thing left in my mind is “Islands in the Stream.”
