Professor @Janet_De_Wilde offers broad and detailed insights into the UK example of certified training curricula: importance of keeping it agile and flexible to react to new developments (e.g. #ChatGPT ...)
The 5th & final day of our #teaching#excellence training week focuses today on putting together all elements on how a #European curriculum of teaching excellence could look like to boost a common approach across national boundaries and systems @agover_anna and @Janet_De_Wilde
In search for a common framework: Thanks to @ClaraCotroneo for presenting her extensive mapping of #teaching schemes in Europe. Displaying challenges and potentials for a common ground. Are our needs too diversified? Can common values navigate a definition teaching excellence?
Central take-aways for the participants of day 3 of E-Note January 2023:
"The valorization of development over excellence"
"We can improve teaching practice by supporting the improvement of conversations with "significant others" about teaching"
More in comments:
"Encourage the learning of new teaching skills by rewarding excellence in departments as a mean of fostering the involvement of individual actors more effectively"
Inspiring talk by Torgny Roxå about the system for teacher #education at Lund University. An example of expanding and utilizing the significant networks among #teachers for genuine conversations about their experiences. Teachers must be called to the front stage.
Kicking off the 2nd part of Day 3, delving into how to set up or enhance higher education teaching training courses and programmes. Presentation and workshop led by Birgitte Madelung from @roskildeuni
We're so happy for @anneroosrenkema & Margje Van de Wiel's presentation of the UTQ-programme (University Teaching Qualification) in the Netherlands.
They presented important points about creating academic mobility whilst ensuring a standard for academic teaching.
