An @NSF project featuring a @YES_STEMEd unit led by @CunninghamCM and Greg Kelly was tested by an afterschool program in Puerto Rico. Students have been studying engineering w/English learners.
👀one student's rocket with the @PSU_CollegeOfEd sticker! 😍😍😍
#WeAre#changED
My team's newest article is available in early publication with @geosociety - how do geologists think about drone use in the field? https://t.co/0KOgsCwYnH
@EEMacLeod@ESERA_org@STEMEdGrads@NARSTorg @SEEDS4equity Write based on the rubric if provided (like @ NARST) - use the headings they use & demarcate things that will be rated. "Our data include..." "This paper is of interest to X because..." because it is likely reviewers will skim, not read deeply. Ask for samples as templates.
@LisaLundgren21 Would it help the student who has to be virtual to have a small group that is virtual with them to do their brainstorming, small group discussion together? Being some virtual some in person is alway hard for me as a participant.
The amazing editorial staff at the Journal of Geoscience Education selected our paper as their free access paper for Aug! @ScienceOnTheRox @joyous_ham https://t.co/JtDY9VIeYr
@LisaLundgren21 I used both Zoom transcription and then ran it through https://t.co/gUkZsFUzmL. That was MUCH better at catching all the weird geology terms from my participants. I also find it deals better with regional accents. Zoom never knows what I am saying!
Happy to announce starting in late Aug I return to @penn_state as an Assistant Teaching Professor & Project Manager with Youth Engineering Solutions. I'm extremely grateful for my colleagues here at Create, but thrilled to return to @PSU_CollegeOfEd and my
SciEd folks!
When you try to get your aunt to buy you a $25 volcano making kit at a target, but she has a PhD in Sci Ed, and knows you can do it with what’s already at home for free…
@dtothetk @islsnews I saw that email, but was unsure if you needed to be studying said marginalized community. (And if someone is studying autonomic distinction disorders in science Ed , or even just “invisible disabilities” in any education context, point me their way!)
Here's a glimpse of how using meaningful and relevant Driving Questions can help students to make sense of the world! @edutopia@create4stem @lucasedresearch

My name is Katie and I endorse this tweet.
Grateful when I said “I think I want to go to grad school” this guy basically said, “come to the dark side, we have cookies.”
We asked current students and alumni about people in the College of Education who made that a difference to them. Today, we are spotlighting Professor @smcdonald, director of the Krause Innovation Studio. 💙

Why are we still giving “perfect attendance” awards in schools?
It’s ableist and we are in a pandemic still. Can we please come up with other ways to acknowledge students?
@vpmurty@Temple_Psych@Bangasser_Lab Very jealous of this workshop! And I love that we have so many favorite things in common! If all workshops included french fries and Sunnydale references we'd be better off. :)
