Construction on the redevelopment of the Old Federal Courthouse downtown will begin this Summer. The OFC is in one of our Federally Designated Opportunity Zones and already seeing the benefit. Great that we'll be generating tax revenue again after nearly 20 years offline.

Mr. Ronald Crowley with the Military Order of the Purple Heart and his colleagues led the Pledge of Allegiance at the Robideaux Report. Mr. Crowley, a Lafayette native, served in the USMC, had two combat tours in Vietnam and was awarded multiple Purple Hearts for his injuries.

Our parish has 7 federally designated opportunity zones. President Trump signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in November 2017. The Secretary of the Treasury estimates that $100 billion will flow into these zones over the next 3 years. I'll be working to secure our share.
