I wish this was true. I really do. But creating simple structure isn't abstraction. Do they understand when to use REST vs when GraphQL would be the better, more manageable long term option? And before you say the AI would know this, it won't. This is the kind of thing that's decided during the engineering phase, when the person who understands backends looks at your idea and your stated goals and goes, "hey, you're going to want to move this direction." The AI answers what you ask. It can't tell you the question exists.

I spent 15 years in lamp without version control and now its where I live. You sound like I have been writing code longer than you have been alive.

I literally micromanage the AI, I don't need you stepping in and telling it it cant do thing like run 'git push origin main'. even worse when its saying some shit like "there is an outage" wtf is going on?
