We got messy during math today and most of us loved it! We used shaving cream to solved word problems, draw shapes and practice writing numbers. Our room smelled delicious and our tables were super clean!
The team has been passionate about using fewer plastic straws and wanted to persuade the rest of the school to do the same. We created this poster together and hung it up in the cafeteria. We hope the movement spreads!
During our research unit, the team researched storms. Today, a meteorologist talked to our class and taught us even more about weather! Thank you @NOAA and @NWS_BaltWash for the virtual visit & lesson! I think we were most surprised to learn hurricanes can cause tornados😱!
We had a special guest yesterday for Take Your Child to Work Day. We had a lot of fun with our new 4th grade friend (even though he can run faster than us).
We have also been working on using our creativity to think outside the box by completing different drawing challenges. We are consistently impressing our teachers with our creativity!
A few weeks back, we learned about the phases of water and what materials sink/float in water. We then used our hard working brains to create boats that would float in water. After some trial and error, everyone was able to create a floating boat!
Happy belated Earth Day! The team worked with buddies yesterday to spell out Earth Day with natural materials they found around the school. We used creativity, collaboration and communication!❤️🌎
We were a little disappointed to find out our eggs were full of fake coins, but, when you are learning about money, teachers sneak in practice wherever they can😊.
We have lots of videos and photos stored to share, but let’s start with today because there were many fun surprises! The day started with a surprise dance party with the principal!
