Gilbert Arenas opened up about the intimidating reality of playing alongside Michael Jordan, through Kwame Brown.

According to Arenas, Brown was still trying to find his confidence while playing with Jordan.

One night at a bar in Chicago, after a few drinks, Brown spotted Jordan sitting by himself and convinced himself it was finally time to confront him.

"I'm gonna whoop his ass," Brown kept saying as he ordered more shots to build up the courage.

Then Jordan walked over.

Looking completely unfazed, he greeted Brown before casually saying one sentence:

"Oakley's downstairs."

That was all it took.

The mention of Charles Oakley instantly erased every bit of confidence Brown had built up.

The fight never happened.

For Arenas, it perfectly captured just how intimidating Jordan's presence was.

Sometimes, all it took was a few words to remind everyone exactly who they were dealing with.
