You need to watch more movies

Capeshit ain’t leaving.
@jjamessmith2 WB did interfere in a lot of things but Batman was something Snyder himself wanted to do. He’s always been a fan of TDKR and he was already using it as a reference for the Man of Steel sequel idea back in as early as April 2013.
@kingbchalla Wtf are you talking about? Snyder has told us numerous times that he gravitated to Batman very early on. Brainiac was an idea they flirted w/ but Batman was clearly more attractive to Snyder.
Many people say Snyder doesn’t “get” Watchmen but I disagree. I just think he fundamentally still believes in the concept of superheroes.
His film doesn’t turn away from the ugliness of its cast but it does emphasize a more empathetic view of them than Moore.
Zack Snyder's Watchmen is a very interesting case because he's adapted a story that is not meant to be sick into a movie that is so sick. So you have this totally sick movie that like pretty much kicks ass, but that technically makes it bad.
@PsyOp_Langley I think he has a very romantic presentation of them especially during vulnerable moments. You see this a lot in his closeups which is more sparing in the comic.
A moment that sticks out to me is when Ozymandias is abandoned by his peers at the end, emphasizing his loneliness.
Henry Cavill has been cast alongside Kevin Hart in McG's new action comedy for Netflix.
The film follows 2 rival spies who find themselves in a pre-natal class while their wives become friends.

@Voltage203 @Xceptional_brit Bright colors doesn't necessarily equal good though.
Bay's films have color palettes that make sense given the kinds of lighting choices he employs and his transformer designs for the most part also work within this lense as well.
Scorsese’s AI bullshit has caused people to do that thing where an artist does something bad and then everyone retroactively decides all their previous work isn’t good and we have to leave that dumbfuckery behind. Just stop. Not every thought needs to be shared
His movie IS misaligned w/ the source material but not bc of some misunderstanding of it. He’s inherently an optimist and has faith in humanity no matter how dark things get.
I believe that’s why he likes the trope of the sacrificial hero.
@jrb78910 Yeah probably. But that’s still an experience that most people still won’t ever have for this film in particular. Part of me wants them to maintain the aspect ratio no matter the theater but that’s still not the same.
I understand why someone like Nolan would do something like this but it still frustrates me bc of its lack of accessibility. Ppl literally had to pay for tickets a year in advance bc of how few 70mm IMAX screenings there are.
@adamhlavac@NeilBahadur Ppl also don’t realize the psychological effect of the difference between seeing something close and seeing something big. Your eyes can tell the difference and therefore your brain registers the image differently.
You LITERALLY cannot replicate this experience at home.
