If you were born in Zimbabwe, stay in Zimbabwe and fix your country. If you were born in Congo, stay in Congo and fix your country. If you were born in Mali, stay in Mali and fix your country. If you were born in Mozambique, stay in Mozambique and fix your country. That’s how we will fix our continent and make it one of the richest and most powerful in the world. Let’s fix our countries. We can do it! All that’s needed are the right policies and attitudes. #economy #markets #politics #immigration
My passport, will expire in July.
I've had to go to the SA embassy here in China to apply for a new one.
Generally, it is advised to apply for the renewal at least 8 MONTHS in advance.
Not knowing this has led me to pay quite a hefty amount to ensure that the process is expedited from back home.
When my passport returns, I'm supposed to go to the Chinese Migration office to have a new visa stamped on it.
Then I need to go to the police station to redeclare my residential address.
There are few other steps that I have to fulfill to ensure that my new passport reflects on every system I use here in China.
One thing I've noticed, even from other foreigners from other African countries who are here, they carry this panic feeling whenever they have to renew their visas...
It's a stressful and rigorous process.
I've met quite a number of them who are here on study Visas. If they miss a couple of classes, they are in trouble. Because what else are you doing besides being a student?
THIS is a result of an EFFECIENT immigration control system.
If you are found to have overstayed your welcome, you are deported with no discussions, no protests, no negotiations or greasing of the palms...
You HAVE to go!
Meanwhile in my home country...

The suspects, travelling in a BMW, targeted multiple victims at gunpoint and with knives in separate incidents in JB Mafora, Caleb Motshabi, and near the N6.
Police intercepted the vehicle on the N1 highway, recovering drugs (Mandrax and crystal meth), knives, a replica firearm, and suspected stolen items including cellphones, bank cards, and IDs.
Authorities believe the suspects may be linked to additional crimes in the Mangaung area.
They are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on charges including armed robbery and possession of stolen property and illegal substances.
Minister Gayton McKenzie Reveals that Department of Sports Paid a Staggering R700,000 for Mama Joy’s Latest Trip to France, As He Ends Funding for Individual Fans
Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie has stated that President Cyril Ramaphosa did not pay for superfan Mama Joy's international trips. The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture covered the costs for the trips before McKenzie took office.
McKenzie made the comments on social media in response to recent remarks by Joy Chauke, known as Mama Joy. He noted that both trips he could verify from the previous term were funded by DSAC. One trip to France alone cost R700,000.
The minister has ended departmental funding for individual superfans to attend events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. He previously suggested Mama Joy's French partner, referred to as Papa Joy, should cover her travel instead.
McKenzie hopes the clarification ends the ongoing discussion about the funding of Mama Joy's trips. The department is focusing resources on other priorities in sport, arts and culture.
