Haha! All this is true but children from current generation will also look at the current times in future with Nostalgia. Especially when AI would be running everything around them. Millennials including myself have just grown old but we haven't fully accepted it yet lol!
Geceye Z kuşağının bilmediği bazı bilgiler bırakalım:
• Disketlerin kapasitesi sadece 1,44 MB’tı.
• CD’ler 700 MB’tı; yazarken disk yanabiliyordu.
Jeremy Miner’s team didn’t raise ad spend.
They stopped selling the same offer to every lead.
After 7th Level went live with Highsale:
36% higher AOV
40x ROI on Highsale
1.7x revenue. Same ads.
That’s what happens when you stop guessing who can actually buy.
WTF.

Just my opinion here:
I have said from the beginning of this war that I believe the goal of the US government through this war was to reassert the dominance of USD. They attacked Venezuela first, and are now effectively controlling the flow of their crude. And then with Iran, the goal was to make sure the oil prices rise so that the demand of USD increases which is effectively what happened. Not only that, a lot of the oil revenue was shifted to US companies because of this.
Now that the inflation has been successfully exported to the world, it raises these issues. I may be wrong but in my opinion, this is a signal that the war may have to come to an end now.
Brother, these things are performative. What do you think would happen if food was declared as a human right? Would it magically produce food and reach the ones who need it? And would you then trust the governments of the world to fulfill those promises.
The best way to do it is for people who have the means to do it at their own level. Even if you are able to feed 1-2 people. If you entrust the governments with this responsibility, it will just be the means for them to extract more taxes and setup more large scale charities and NGO’s.
I don’t believe we’ll have issues in getting the foreign fund flow in the coming years. But what I don’t get is what was the emergency? Was it that our foreign debt was too high and we had spent a lot of our reserves because of rising oil prices? We would still have over $600 Billion in foreign reserves without the scheme. Was it just preempting the crisis? Or is it something else? If it was just a temporary roadblock for arresting the rupee fall, then the cost seems too high. But lets see!
@Dylan_Hoffman_@mark_slapinski Well yeah, but I am saying I believe that was the plan. But it did raise oil prices which increased the bill for a lot of countries. That did raise the demand for usd. The USD index rose from 96 to about 102 at peak.
I’ve been talking about this for a long time. Staying in constant budget deficits is not good financial management regardless of how that money is spent. We have to reduce the size of the govt significantly where our expenses are reduced by at least 40%. We are spending about 1.5 times our govt revenue currently.
If we reduce our govt size and expenses, we can:
>> Reduce Taxes and bureaucratic friction.
If we do that, we can:
>> Increase Private Investment
>> Increase Disposable Income
If we can do that, we can:
>> Increase Private consumption
All of this will help in a much higher and stable economic growth. Almost all economic issues can be solved if we reduce our govt size.

The 7.8% growth rate in the last quarter is a very good number. Some elements of it that I am very happy about:
>> Private consumption increased by about 7.1%. This is a good indicator higher disposable income.
>> Our net exports saw a significant increase which not only included increase in exports but also a nominal decrease in imports. Combining this with increasing consumption, if this trend continues, this is a huge positive. We should want more in house production and consumption.
>> Government consumption was a small contributor to the growth. I hope this number shows a negative trend in future.
There are some elements that I hope we change our path on:
>> The highest growth was shown by investments which is about 11.9%. But the problem is that a majority of it is driven by public capex. While it is good that we are investing in major infra projects, it should be the private investments that should be driving the growth. The public capex should be a smaller share in the overall investment.
>> With increasing investments, our debt also increases. I wouldn't want the public capex to slowdown, but it is important in my opinion that we reduce our expenses significantly, as I have been talking about for a long time now. We should seriously consider reducing the size of the government in a phased manner.
I think we are on a fair path but we must be careful about being in constant budget deficits. No country that did that ended victorious. We must find a path to reduce our expenses to a point where we can fund the government through GST alone. It will increase our private consumption further.

First of all, I’m not an American so nothing is getting dumped on me. Second of all, do you know what gullible means? It means someone who is easy to manipulate. You probably read a headline somewhere about infected horse beef and believed it. That’s the definition of gullible. And finally, what I cited in my reply was pure hard data. If you refute that, please provide something that counters that.
We used to have multiple Telecom players.
There was competition.
To win customers, the players used to keep the prices sane.
Then one by one, most of them got killed.
Overtime: we moved to Oligopoly.
We got to a point: where you pay X% price increase each year or stop using phones.
How does this apply to investing?
- Indians can't really invest abroad freely/easily.
- 100 difference compliances.
- So you are forced to buy Indian stocks at whatever valuations.
Give legit choices, see results.
Banks should not be charging 1-2% just for currency conversions.
Remove friction. See how many stay?

@Akshat_World I might be wrong but for some reason I have a feeling that gold is about to repeat 1979. I still am in favor of buying physical gold. But in terms of prices, I think it will repeat history in the next few years.
I didn’t say we have to do it without debt. But if we are borrowing so much that 25% of our annual budget goes towards interest payments alone then that’s not a small issue. It is our largest expense every year. Check out examples of countries that did this. Look what happened to Argentina. They got to nearly 280% inflation just 3 years back. Now their govt is trying undo all of that. What are the policies that they are enacting? Reducing govt expenses. Putting guardrails for the govt to not get into a budget deficit.
Its a very big issue and ultimately it will have to be paid back in two ways. Inflation or taxes. Unless of course we correct the path and reduce our expenses.
