This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention.
The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean.
And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them.
Record-breaking temperatures.
A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse.
The response?
Yank out the instruments and walk away.
That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency.
For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives.
The kicker: the same people killing the monitors want to mine the deep sea for minerals. So they are destroying the only tools that could measure what that mining does. That is not an accident.
That is the point. You cannot see the damage if you break the instruments first.

Greta Thunberg explains how speaking up for Palestine is different from speaking up for climate issues.
At a conference in Brussels, she said that supporting Palestine is the minimum that people should do for human rights.
She also said that, unlike climate activism and many other social causes, speaking out for Palestine can often lead to criticism, backlash, or being cancelled.
Look at how Israelis humiliate Americans. When we ask where our citizen is, the answer should be immediate. Instead they laugh at us because they know our politicians are never going to pull their money. They’ve killed 10 Americans in 3 years and haven’t arrested a single person!
Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário drops a bombshell:
'What is happening in Gaza is not a war... it is a systematic extermination of a people trapped in a cage.'
'The silence of the world is frightening... and staying silent about this brutality is a moral failure.'
'I will not be silent... I will never be silent. I stand with Gaza.' 🔥🇧🇷🇵🇸"
"Soy de las Naciones Unidas y vine del Líbano hace 2 semanas, como nadie hizo nada en Gaza, Israel está haciendo lo mismo en Líbano, no han dejado ni un pueblo en pie. 3 compañeros mios fueron asesinados y a nuestro gobierno le importa una mierda".

This video of Israel’s latest war crime is being systematically suppressed by Twitter.
I screen recorded the moment the platform removed 19 retweets from the post — evidence of Western war crimes being targeted by Elons algorithm.

Israel having killed every child, every sheep, every dog and cat. Having destroyed every tree, every road, every building in southern Gaza
Is now bulldozing the remnants.
Every gravestone, every sign that anyone ever lived here.
It's a holocaust
