Update: Another $22 million claimed in 🇨🇦Canadian EVAP Program in 15 day period. (May 15 to May 31).

On May 15,2026 EVAP program had $2.153 billion remaining funds, as of June 1, 2026, EVAP program has $2.131 Billion in remaining funds, which calculates as $22 millions of Funds claimed in 15 days period or average of $1.57 million in funding claimed each day.

EVAP program offers 5000$ incentives for BEV and 2500$ incentive for PHEV.

NEWS: 🇨🇦Canadian EVAP Program Update - $ 122 million claimed.

The Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) officially launched on February 16, 2026.

According to the official program page, the initiative has $2.275 billion in total funding over 5 years. As of May 15, 2026, $2.153 billion remains available — meaning Canadian consumers have already claimed approximately $122 million in incentives in just three months.

EVAP Eligibility & Incentives:
-Qualifying vehicles must be manufactured in Canada or in countries with a free trade agreement with Canada.

Incentives:
- Up to $5,000 for battery-electric (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV)
- Up to $2,500 for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV)

The program is off to a strong start, with significant early uptake from consumers. More details available on the official EVAP program page.

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla This was my model 3 RWD right after the delivery, took only 10 -15 kms to calibrate cameras and drove me home.
I tested this on HW3 and it wasn't successful but v14 FSD handled it like a champ and parked in my driveway with no input from me.

Rivian comes through its promise for R2.

Rivian is taking orders for its R2 electric SUV in US starting at $45,000 and deliveries as soon as two to six weeks for performance trims.

The five-seat model offers
- up to 656 horsepower,
- 330 miles of range,
- Off-road capability with 9.6 inches of ground clearance, and
- NACS chargers for access to Tesla Superchargers.

1st - That is impressive that FSD seen the rat running across the road and reacted to it.
2nd - I think FSD should have parameters about size of animal and at which speed to react.

For example: if it’s a rat or squirrels or anything smaller, FSD should slow down depending on speed and traffic behind.

Scenario 1: you’re going 100 to 110 km/h, I’d rather FSD smoke that rat or squirrel than slamming on break,
Scenario 2: if speed below 70km/h - FSD slow down depending on the traffic behind or just smoke it.

IMO it should be speed, critter size and traffic dependent.

I took delivery of my 🇨🇦 2026 model 3 premium RWD this Friday, took only 10-15 kms to calibrate camera on my way home and FSD supervised took over to drive me home for 100kms with no interventions and navigated to my country home driveway flawlessly.
Just experiencing FSD v14 driving me home was surreal experience and @Tesla could easily make at home vehicle delivery with FSD possible anywhere.
