@GodandCountryy I have to admit it is very Soviet style. Just keep counting until you get the result you want with ballots showing up out of the woodwork in the middle of the night.
It’s absurd. I grew up in Los Angeles and it was never like this before. You had to request an absentee ballot if you wanted to vote because you’re going to be out of town otherwise you had to show up and vote.
The polls closed at 8 PM by midnight you had a pretty good idea who won and certainly by the next morning you knew.
These mail in ballots are an invitation for fraud and frankly are shameful. No voter ID no proof of eligibility being a US citizen no nothing check the box vote and put it in a drop box.
@IngrahamAngle@cherylkanere It wasn’t always like this in CA. When I was growing up and in the 70s and 80s Election Day was 1 day and by morning the votes were counted and you knew the winners. Today it’s a shameful disaster.
California is going to take 37 days to count 9 million mail in ballots with 0 of the voters showing ID.
This is totally fine with John Thune.
Think about that.
Proof that the election system in California is structured to facilitate fraud?
Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this.
- no proof of citizenship required to register to vote
- no voter ID allowed to be asked for by state law
-massive mailings of mail in ballots including to dead people and to people who are no longer living in the state and with no security - literally stacked up in front of mailboxes at apartment buildings in some cases and found in trash cans
- A check box “honor” system where the only requirement is you check the box attesting that you are a US citizen - with no verification and no follow up ever done by the state or the county to confirm that
- as a result the entire system facilitates fraud and cheating.
When confronted with us, the secretary of state of California’s response was that there was no proof of fraud or cheating well …duh …because it’s never been checked there’s no follow up coupled with no verification or voter eligibility.
So my question to you is prove that there’s no fraud or cheating - prove that only eligible voters who are US citizens are registered and vote in California elections (in particular the Bay Area and in Los Angeles County). You can’t because the process is structured to turn a blind eye to fraud and cheating and as such enables it.
@Milajoy@sensecaliforni Yeah, exactly. 37% of the voting population yesterday are morons by definition. No one in the right mind could vote honestly for Karen Bas.
Went to vote today for the California primaries
The guy next to me called over an election worker because his ballot didn't include the LA mayoral race
The worker checked and told him it was because his registered address was in Malibu, which is outside the City of LA
The guy then asked if he could provide another address
To my surprise, the answer was yes
So he gave the worker an LA address, they voided his previous ballot, issued a new one, and suddenly he was able to vote for the mayor of LA
How is voter ID not mandatory in all 50 states?
@GuntherEagleman@Bluestown901 Kind of begs the question who in the right mind who would vote for Keren Bass? Yet she ended up with about 30% or more of the vote..
NBC says the quiet part out loud
LA won’t have results tonight because tonz of mail-in ballots will be arriving over the next few days which will help the Democrats
This is how they cheat
@amazing_physics I wrote papers in both engineering and in law school about this very system proposed in the late 70s and early 80s. Great to see it is now in a proof of concept stage
