FUCK AI AND SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS
We are so cooked. Everyday AI content is eating up more and more market share of our eyes and ears, and it’s now basically indistinguishable from reality. If regulation is not placed SOON around copyright, we are going to loose unfathomable amounts of human creativity.
Most developing artists rely on a small project-based work to get their foot in the door in an already gate-kept industry. Being a “starving artist” is looking like it may become less and less attainable without being forced to become “proficient in ai tools”.
The pursuit of artistic excellence must be protected at all costs. It is built on hundreds of years of blood, sweat, and tears from uncredited and unpaid artists.
Discord has been caught lying.
Discord caught ditching its current age verification provider for Persona after bypasses appeared everywhere.
They promised "facial scans never leave your device" and no uploads, but now they send your IDs and data to a third-party company.
I am becoming progressively more worried for our humanity due to extensively terrifying improvements to AI generated content media.
From blatant misinformation to even the recent commercial adaptations of AI (acquisition of Suno into the music industry) WHICH NOBODY NEEDS.
We need artists to thrive - not feel discouraged.
Please be weary with what you see or hear online, contemporary media feels like nothing is real anymore.
AI sucks and we need to stand up against it.
All these tech companies that are ruining the tech market can fuck off. So sick and tired of seeing Ai everywhere and knowing that the ram prices increased immensely just so we can have more ai slop nonsense is infuriating.
This doesn't just put artists at risk, it puts every Twitter user at risk. Anyone can use AI to edit images of real people posted on this platform, simply a family photo, PAST OR PRESENT. Why is this enabled by default without any consent of the people who shared those images?
