Please share the fresh ideas you’d like to see moving forward. In 7 months:

1. I launched the largest tech talent accelerator in the world with a target of 3m and already serving 300k - in accordance with our Presidential Priorities.

2. Repurposed and sweating our digital infrastructure to include providing connectivity to some of the 774 local government secretariats in Nigeria

3. Kicked off a maker club programme for secondary school students and already served 1500 secondary kids as part our digital literacy programme

4. Launched #DevsinGovernment to strengthen and develop the pipeline of technologists in government to support our ambition of digitalising government services - in accordance with our Presidential Priorities

5. Secured support and now developing framework for data exchange amongst MDAs as a pre-requisite for building the Nigerian Stack which will form the foundation for a single portal for all things government

6. Secured approval to establish a fund to complete the deployment of a 120,000km of fibre optic cable which will significantly help us achieve universal access at affordable rate

7. Established a demonstration funding scheme for the application of 4IR technologies in support of our President’s agenda to cultivate 500,000 hectares of land.

8. Established and funded 45 AI research projects and startups for application in health, education, agriculture and many other verticals

9. Given strong leadership for the establishment of how we govern, manage and apply AI to improve productivity across key sectors of our economy.

10. Delivered 5 academic lectures to senior security officers (in 7 months)

All the above and MANY MORE more achieved in 7 months alongside the release of a first of its kind “Strategic Blueprint” and “Week In Review” reports (an absolutely novel approach).

I also use white papers to communicate large programmes the Ministry is embarking on for openness and feedback. Let me know when you remember how many of them you’ve seen before now.
