A little more Detroit to end the day. I probably should have ran with “In the Rain”, but I ran with this. May, 1967. Both sides are very worthy. #IFYKYK
Do you remember when you joined X? I do! #MyXAnniversary
Another belting morning. Scorchio. Surviving 15 years on here. Wow. Heading back to the Summer of 75 and Germany. Fabulous LP crafted by many at the top of their game. Saw the reviews in Black Music & Blues & Soul. Sold.
Trawling through 45’s, Bloodstone to Brief Encounter to Brothers of Soul, and then some Brown Sugar. Vince Montana arranged, produced, the Godfather of disco. #MFSB#PHILLY The flip side isn’t shabby either.
Summer seems vey reluctant to breakout in the North East. Baltic!! It’s been a day of Motown and VAR decisions. A delicious (B) side, with a tempo to suit. The A) side got the traction, but this is a gem. October 68 and Dennis Edwards on lead.
Walk right on in
Let it flow like the river
Let it shine like the light
Take all my blind soul, baby
Why don't you give it sight?

School run this morning and a gardening session to follow up. Job done. Back home and onto the Chicago New Sound, October, 1970. Bobs, Beehives and Chicago Girl Groups.
Much deliberation about top tier vocal groups within soul music. The Impressions would always be close to that pinnacle. This “Northern” classic would have graced the dance floor of many an esteemed establishment back in the day. 2026 and it still reverberates.
