I was just asked, "How do you like that phone?" I replied it's great! They said, "I wanted to make sure it was before I get it."
Now I'm not sure if the knew it was the Z Fold 8 or if they thought it was iPhone Duo.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@ZacksJerryRig Looks like they'll fix your phone if you got Apple Care.

[Joanna Stern @JoannaStern]

Just got Apple’s statement on cracked / broken inner screens on some iPhone Duo units:

“We are aware of an issue impacting the inner display on a small number of iPhone Duo units. If users experience issues with their iPhone Duo display, they should contact AppleCare for a replacement.”

A few more points from Apple:
➡️ The issue is affecting a very small number of units.
➡️ The defect appears to show up relatively quickly after people begin using the device

Translation: Please do not call this HingeGate! It's not a gate!

@SnazzyLabs To be fair, it did actually let me accomplish an incredibly small task over a 4 hour flight yesterday. Delta Wifi 4 years ago could never.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@richontech Wait, iPhones can't do that?!? 🤣🤣🤣

Took the matte screen protector OFF my iPhone Duo…

and wow. The display looks WAY better than I expected 👀

Clarity, punch, that foldable screen finally showing off — was the matte film holding it back this whole time?

Full thoughts (and what I'd do differently):

@SnazzyLabs Yay! Go fold that iPhone!

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@DigestAndroid Sadly this also happens on my Z Fold 8.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@mweinbach That side bar kills the whole vibe of the phone. I guess it could be optimized better but I haven't seen that yet in a standard app.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@richontech Wow, I think that was my first email address.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@whatsinside Those are some great seats!

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@whatsinside Congrats! What a tech demo. Wow!

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@GWR What's the current record?

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@AqaraSmarthouse This is a stretch, but teleportation.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

@richontech Oh yes, that too! But a phone that isn't too tall or too expensive with great cameras.

[Brett @TechWithBrett]

Is that the Apple Watch XXXXXXXXL?

[Marques Brownlee @MKBHD]

Apple Homeview is official. $299

Going hands-on today, so ask me anything here!

In case you were wondering, this what I see when I press the Search button @YouTube when I am signed in on my brand account on the Z Fold8.

@saradietschy Make it easy to know what the Inspector is going to adjust. I don't see a way to turn it off. https://t.co/IcEgLvX6Je
