any EV owners does well planning before heading for long trip, they don't go just blindly and look for chargers.
This itself is advised by EV community but you guys are completely skipping it and trying to claim EVs are city cars lol

now how many will go for that highway route & how often ?

if based on that single or let's say few highway one has to take EV buying decision then good luck lol

long trips are monthly or once in a while, one always go for rented cars IF there is any such a case & infra is expanding

true but again if one or few routes are the issue then does it become a city car ? lol
instead of saying EVs are city cars why can't one promote right info ie well planning is imp which EV community also mentions
so anyone would follow it & if that's the case one should def go for renting other cars for that long trip which is again once in a while or whatever

its not about whether to buy EV or not, its about classifying it as city car which is completely baseless
