1,500 strong!
I'm grateful for every connection and conversation.
I’ve shared value here, I've gotten value too and there’s more to come!
Let’s keep growing! Ahead Ahead 🥂
One of the best decisions I made last year was building my personal brand on LinkedIn.
It’s opened so many doors, new opportunities, connections, and growth I never expected.
Honestly, I wish I started sooner.
I really need to put this here before March 14. If you can, please register for the Ekiti Model United Nations(EKMUN 2025), especially if you’re in Ekiti State.
You’ll thank me after the conference!
Check EKMUN’s IG page for answers to your questions.

Title: Nursing in the UK: The Truth They Don’t Want You to Know!
You won’t believe what I’m about to tell you! If you’re a nurse or thinking of moving to the UK to work as one, sit tight because I’m about to spill the HOT TEA!
Let me ask you, Did they ever tell you that working as a nurse in the UK isn’t just about saving lives —it’s about surviving the system?
Listen, I’ve seen nurses come in with high hopes, only to end up completely SHOCKED by what they actually experience. Some even REGRET moving! But why? Let’s get into it!
1: The Pay vs. The Bills
So, you hear nurses abroad earn big money, right? Well, let me break it down
Your first paycheck? Looks sweet on paper. But after tax, bills, council tax, transportation, NMC fees, and rent suddenly, you’re just surviving, NOT thriving. 😳
Here’s the trick nobody tells you: Agency shifts and side hustles are your LIFELINE! If you want to make real money as a nurse here, you MUST learn how to maximize your income.
2. The Workload is INSANE!
Imagine working a 12-hour shift where you're responsible for 10, 15, sometimes 20 patients at once. You’re running up and down, answering call bells, managing medications, handling doctors, and still expected to smile at patients like everything is fine.
And guess what? If something goes wrong, you’re the one who takes the fall! Nurses are facing investigations left and right, and some don’t even know their rights!
My Advice? Learn your policies, join a union, and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! Protect your license at all costs!
3: The Silent Racism & Workplace Drama:
Now let’s talk about something DEEP—the unspoken struggles of international nurses. Many of us come here with high qualifications, but suddenly, we’re being treated like we know nothing! Some UK-trained nurses look down on us , managers and career progression? It feels like a SECRET club
The Secret to Beating This?
You MUST network, get a mentor, and put yourself out there. Don’t just wait for promotions—go for them, speak up, and NEVER let anyone dim your shine!
Final Truth: It’s NOT All Bad… If You Play Smart!
Listen, I’m not here to scare you. Nursing in the UK can be rewarding if you know the game! You can move into leadership, education, or even start your own business. But you need to be smart, strategic, and ready to adapt!
So tell me… What’s the WILDEST experience you’ve had as a nurse? Drop it in the comments, let’s gist!
