If you bought a stock at all time lows and it is at all time highs would you be mad at short sellers while its sitting at all time highs?
Meanwhile we got John Hempton who claims short and doing well losing his shit while his short position is at all time lows.
It just shows how he must be extremely over-leveraged to be this mad over an investment he would theoretically be ok in but he is probably get margin calls every morning.
107m+ of the 124m+ short on $AMC is short down here. Many bears will post the chart for $AMC but ignore the fact that the short positions are actually down here and a small move up puts them under.
60%+ of shorted shares will be red if the stock were to go over $2.11.
With an elevated borrow rate we see tons of borrowing for $AMC. Short sellers continue to take more shares.
1,000,000 -> 450,000 share availability
Steady 0.9% rate
I believe SI should be a net increase overall for end of January with the borrow rate holding higher levels.
I believe in something called “American Exceptionalism“ which loosely translates to the notion that the United States has been a remarkable country of extraordinary accomplishment over some two and a half centuries.
Give credit to the Founding Fathers for creating a nation devoted to the principles that all are created equal and all should be free to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Give credit also to the so-called “greatest generation” who some eighty years ago helped win World War II and pull humankind back from fascism and evil. And give credit, too, to the inventors — whether it was the ones who sparked the Industrial Revolution of the 1800’s or more recently who led the world’s transformation into the Information Age of modern day.
The U.S. has been far, very far, from perfect, but overall it has been a country committed to achieving progress and unabashedly one that has been striving for greatness.
Which takes me to last night.
Almost half the country watched on live television a train wreck right before their eyes. What might have been an astounding and enlightening event instead was an appalling and embarrassing catastrophe. I keep my personal politics completely distant from my running the world’s largest movie theatre chain. Our company happily serves all people, regardless of their political ideology and views.
But right now, both as a citizen and as a leader, I feel compelled to speak out. So, this tweet is a personal one from me. It is not a corporate statement of the views of AMC Entertainment.
Neither the 45th President of the United States, nor the 46th President of the United States, should be our 47th.
Whether you like either of them or do not, we should thank each of them for having served our country with four years of leadership, But it is time to move on, to reach ahead not to look back.
As for President Trump, he is often untruthful and has been found in three separate courts so far to be less than honorable, with more trials possibly ahead. And as for President Biden, sadly father time is clearly robbing him of the mental acuity and physical energy to shoulder the burdens of the toughest job on the planet.
The American people deserve a better choice in November than that offered by President Trump or by President Biden. The world deserves an American leader more right for the challenges of the next four years.
It is time for Open Conventions in both parties.
It may be a very slim possibility of actually happening that America gets to have a do over, but in my view new leaders need to answer the call, rise to the moment, and immediately emerge to capture the two major parties nominations.
In my opinion, one that I believe is shared by millions if not tens of millions of potential U.S. voters, neither President Trump nor President Biden should be on the ballot this fall. Gentlemen, step down.
Grateful for our incredible retail investors who bring smiles and laughter to the table! Your unwavering support and enthusiasm light up our journey, reminding us at @HycroftMining why we love what we do.
Today, AMC previewed our first quarter 2024 earnings.
I am very pleased to relay to you that our financial results were stronger than consensus analysts estimates.
I will have much more to say on our May 8 earnings call.
Here is the press release:

So painful: 4 years after Covid the industrywide box office is still ludicrously anemic & AMC stock has slid to $4.48. Difficult to think about anything other than guiding AMC back in these challenging times. But greatness deserves praise: Sixers Joel Embiid... 70 points... 70!
To the prophets of doom certain that AMC would fail as a company and be forced into bankruptcy court in 2023: It is December 31, so we all know that YOU WERE WRONG. AMC is still here, still innovating, still blazing new trails.
To the rest of you (think Apes) Happy New Year!
‼️‼️This is insanity‼️‼️
