agree. My first test within codex wasn't good too

[Bridgebench @bridgebench]

OpenAI is marketing GPT 6.1 Sol as "near-Astra intelligence for a fifth of the price."

We ran it through the BridgeBench sunset ocean test.

Same cost as GPT 6 Sol. Twice as slow. And it barely rendered an ocean.

This isn't Astra level.

It feels like GPT 6 Sol with some better RL.

[alex getman @alexgetmancom]

GPT-6.1 Sol ranks 5th on the AA Intelligence Index

Honestly, it feels like they just took Astra, cut the price, and called it Sol. Kind of a rushed rebrand after people roasted OpenAI, let’s be real.

I genuinely don’t understand these model names anymore. We got Sol, but it feels like Astra. Before that we had Sol, but it was basically Terra. Anthropic shipped this supposedly incredible Fable, and now Opus is their strongest model.

At this point it feels like they basically have two models: the strong one and the weaker one. Everything else is just some weird mix in between.

Why make it this confusing?

@dobroslav_dev It is marketing for claude

‚We should slow down AI’
….here is Opus 5.5

…and here is Sonnet 5.5 🤣

[Claude @claudeai]

Introducing Claude Sonnet 5.5, the second model in the Claude 5.5 family.

It’s a clear upgrade over Sonnet 5, runs more than 30% faster, and costs up to 30% less for most work.

@TheYellowDanger Sparplan läuft und läuft

[Dirk Hagemann @derhagemann]

Copper is facing a structural supply shortfall

[Alan Smith @AlanJLSmith]

London used to compete with New York for the title of the world’s financial capital.

In the first six months of 2026, London produced just 7 IPOs raising £577 million.

Hong Kong had 85.

India had 102.

Malaysia had 28.

Sweden had 10 IPO/direct listings.

And Amsterdam raised almost 6 x times as much.

An incredible fall from grace.
