This is my friend Jace. He is one of the coolest kids you’ll ever meet. The biggest #Gophers fan. He’s hilarious, kind, smart, and is the toughest person I’ve ever met. He has an immunodeficiency—a complex and progressive condition that has required ongoing care from multiple specialists and many years of treatment…and the time has come for him to have a bone marrow transplant.

The good news? His brother, Jaxon, who is as incredible as Jace is, has the biggest heart and is going to be his donor.

The bad news? This will be a huge strain on the Trettin family. They are insuring medical expense, Brooke’s lost wages from taking care of these incredible young men, Brian’s travel costs, housing, and so much more.

Throughout the years I’ve know the Trettins, even though they have been regulars at the hospital with so many procedures, surgeries, and medical scares, they have always given back to others. They have donated 17,000 lbs of pop tabs to Ronald McDonald House and hundreds of tie blankets to Masonic Children’s hospital.
