A race that lasts over 3-3.5 hours becomes monotonous.

A season that stretches over 9 months becomes lethargic.

@rago1456 @whatsundersteer I'm sure it's me, but I get burned out around August. I usually just stop watching until about 5 races left. The bad thing about it is you can miss 10-15 races mid-season and you haven't really missed anything.

@InASeaOfNobody @reallouiehuey @SWoodruffs Well, Virginia would be a pretty long distance lol. There is Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS and Austal USA in Mobile, AL.

Another option would be the oil industry (MS and Louisiana). They are always looking for pipe welders and offer great pay and benefits

Building aircraft carriers & subs. Awesome apprentice school that pays while in school & OJT. After 4 years he'll be close to $40/hr

@MattWeaverRA Last time I was there I thought I was going to freeze to death. It got down into the low 50's when the LMSC race finished up. That usually doesn't happen in late May/early June.

It will be cool again tomorrow night - high of 78, low around 60. Should be a gorgeous day.

@detroitsux Had a small pickup for sale. Mentioned this to my parents, they wanted to buy it and asked how much. Since it’s my parents I said $1,500. Could have got double that. Couple years later they wanted to sell it. I asked how much. They answered $3,500. What?🥴

@DividendBreeder I was shocked to recently find out that my city charges $125/hr per fire truck and $25/hr per firefighter… on top of taxes.

So if my house catches fire I have to run out to the street run off fire fighting equipment and personnel so the bill isn’t too much.
