@SkyNews If the Labour government are looking for more money to spend on defending the UK better, they could look to send in the National Audit Office to investigate Ben Houchen’s give aways to his favoured local Teesside business men there is a lot of money to be made.
@RachelReevesMP
Either Kemi Badenochs best bits were very short so we missed it or they could not find anything to include in it awkward moments like this makes many remember how shite they were their Conservative Teesside mayor could not even successfully organise an airshow at his airport 2022
Bent Houchen is still on the naughty boys step for gifting millions of taxpayers money to his developer friends messers Musgrave, Corney, Waller & Harrison. TVCA is not “established” status and is not eligible for such status, as it is currently under a Best Value Notice tut-tut
The money is being divided between five northern regional authorities, all of which are classed as 'established mayoral strategic authorities' https://t.co/4roiryS1Ef
@RobertJenrick What’s with the hand in your pocket while you walk Tory boy?
You got your fingers crossed while you preach your usual lies or holes in you pockets so you can touch your little party sausage to make sure it’s there?
Ben Houchen’s vanity project Teesside Airport needs significant injections of public money to a venture that seems to have the capacity to swallow public money while showing little in return, so that many now believe it will default on all of its loans.

Teesside Airport- Houchen’s vanity project features in latest issue of the @PrivateEyeNews issue no 1663 on page 40.
@RachelReevesMP@UKLabour you should get yourself a copy & read this article as the Tees Valley Mayor will be asking you for more public funds soon to keep it open
@RachelReevesMP If Labour instructed the NAO to do a proper investigation of Houchen’s 90% shareholding give away of Teesside Freeport to businessmen he knew before being elected you might be able to clawback millions of taxpayers money to help with cutting the debt.

With millions in public money handed to private interests and serious questions over transparency and accountability, why hasn’t there been an inquiry into the goings-on on Teesside?

Messers Musgrave & Corney (Houchen’s mates) want to build a giant electricity hungry AI data centre on the site instead of course they do as they purchased the electric sub stations for £5.50 a pop & will generate a fortune from controlling the electricity supply on the site 💰
Houchen seems to want to deny knowing Corney well family wedding attended in @PrivateEyeNews this week , he also asked for £250m tax payers money soon after being elected & endorsed Corney’s Skerningham garden village development now wants tax payers to fund a road needed for it.
“ must be sound with money” he said at the Conservative Party Conference.
It’s a shame he has not been sound with taxpayers money sent to Tees Valley that his gifted to same business men over & over again.
Get yourself a copy of the latest Private Eye issue it’s an eye opener
Tees Valley mayor Lord (Ben) Houchen shared his economic wisdom at the Tory conference. The Conservative party, he said, must be the party of “sound money”.
Could this be the same regional mayor who has presided over the vast transfer of levelling up funds into the pockets of local businessmen, delivering more hot air than investment and, in the process, leaving the regional bodies he has chaired in a parlous financial state?
It certainly could, as our eight-page SPECIAL REPORT sets out in full, financially unsound detail in the new Private Eye, out now.
@rbrooks45@PrivateEyeNews A thorough , truthful report as always. Its worrying how local newspapers seem scared to print the truth about the Teesside Freeport giveaways & side deals to his cronies. The same cronies who have their fingers in Teesside airport lucrative pie & the Tees Valley garden villages.
We (taxpayers) spent over £500m we got the land but then the Teesside Metro Mayor gifted a 90% shareholding to his mates who have made over £135m so far out of us & who can cherrypick & purchase the land for £1 an acre! Now we cannot afford the repayments.
#wtf#scandals
@RachelReevesMP People of Tees Valley would like a share of the taxpayers £500m invested in Teesworks Freeport back if you can help with this pretty please , you did tell us at Middlesbrough Football club before the general election if you became chancellor you would call in the NAO we r waiting
