Kwa sisi payslip holders, tunakatwa:
30% for payee
6% for NSSF
2.75% for SHA
1.5% for afakable housing
40% of my payslip
16% VAT applied on everything.
56% of my earnings go to gava. 11/20 workdays gone.
Alafu some mathafakin tutam blogger has audacity to open their mouth.
If a MILLENNIAL is requesting you jump on a call it is because your dumbass can’t comprehend the very basic information in the emails.
I do not know a single one of my millennial peers that WILLINGLY makes phone calls.
You’d think this is a joke until you work with them and see how they specifically seek out the least flattering parts of these cities. Very distasteful lots!
In Juja Interchange, where the walkways are barely 1m wide, the merchants have occupied the entire walkway.
Pedestrian have to navigate, with absolute precision to avoid knocking down a shop, being hit by chaotic Boda Bodas, and vehicles.
WHY SHOULD/MUST WE LIVE THIS WAY?!
My Chinese friend said he was going to China for one of his family members' weddings, and I asked if they were going to have the double entrance doors so an old lady doesn’t steal the bride's good luck.
He looked at me with a blank face and said:
"How the fuck do you know that? I feel like it’s racist for you to have that info."
🚨 There’s a SACCO bill in Parliament today, and most Kenyans don’t even know what’s coming.
Quietly... with almost no public attention…
A system is being introduced that will centralize SACCO money, and Govt will now have a massive say in it.
Think of it as a “Super SACCO” for all SACCOs.
It will:
- Hold funds from different SACCOs
- Manage liquidity
- Run payments
- Lend to SACCOs
- Invest your money
Sounds safe? Here’s the reality:
❗ SACCOs could lose some operational independence
❗ Oversight becomes much heavier (via Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority)
❗ Leaders must meet “fit & proper” approval
❗ Strict reporting & constant supervision
And yes, this could mean slower access to your money in some situations.
Now the part they won’t emphasize:
Your savings are only protected up to KSh 100,000
If a SACCO collapses?
Anything above that = your risk.
Even worse:
⚠️ Payouts are NOT immediate
⚠️ Must be approved & gazetted first
⚠️ You could wait while your money is locked
So ask yourself:
Why centralize SACCO money...
But limit protection for members?
This bill is being sold as “safety.”
But it also introduces control by the government, delays, and new risks for ordinary Kenyans.
This is how systems change,
slowly, quietly... then permanently
One thing I thank God for my life is that I have never been in a physical fight with anybody in my life. Obviously except normal siblings fighting each other as kids.
I have always avoided it because I know a lot of walking corpse are looking for whose life to ruin, so I always avoid physical confrontation.
Many young men are rotting in jail because of this today.
As a man, always do your best to avoid fighting. Only do so when necessary or your life is being threatened cause that cheap point you want to get by being the guy everybody hails for being strong isn't worth decades in prison.
Life is too sweet to limit yourself in a box for the rest of your life.
Control your anger or it shall bring you ruin.
Two words and this guy accidentally described a triple-layer behavioral intervention that most diet coaches charge $200/hour to explain.
Sodium laureth sulfate, the chemical that makes toothpaste foam, suppresses your sweet taste receptors and amplifies bitter ones. That orange juice after brushing tastes terrible for a reason. Your tongue is chemically incapable of enjoying sugar for about 30 minutes post-brush.
Layer two: menthol triggers cold receptors in your mouth. Your brain interprets “cool and clean” as “eating window closed.” The same signal that makes a post-dinner mint feel like a full stop on the meal. Brushing at night is a stronger version of that same cue.
Layer three is pure Pavlov. If you brush every night before bed, your brain wires “toothpaste = sleep mode.” The craving doesn’t get suppressed. It gets overwritten by a competing behavioral loop. After enough repetitions, the act of brushing tells your entire digestive system to shut down for the night.
This is why the advice sounds dumb but works better than willpower. Willpower is a depleting resource. You burn through it all day making decisions, and by 10pm there’s nothing left. Brushing your teeth routes around the willpower problem entirely by changing the chemical and behavioral environment so the craving doesn’t fire.
The best systems in fitness are environment design that makes discipline unnecessary.
The President Is Out of Order.
The Office of the Auditor General is a constitutional office, not a department of State House. Dismissing a report that questions the loss of KES 50 billion from SHA undermines the Constitution itself.
KES 50 billion is not a clerical error. It is public money collected from the sweat of Kenyans.
To brush aside such findings insults every Kenyan who struggles to access healthcare while public resources disappear.
You cannot swear to protect the Constitution on Tuesday and tear it up on Wednesday because the truth hurts.
