A minister reportedly visited a Regional Referral Hospital and found a patient awaiting hernia surgery. According to reports, the nurse on duty informed the patient that the surgical mesh required for the procedure was unavailable in the hospital and advised the patient to purchase it privately.
The minister was dissatisfied with this explanation and allegedly ordered the immediate arrest of the nurse. He also directed the hospital to ensure that the patientβs surgery was carried out within 24 hours.
In addition, the minister reportedly gave the patient UGX 100,000 to buy nutritious food in preparation for the operation. However, questions have since been raised because the most critical item needed for the surgery the hernia mesh was reportedly still not provided.
Now the patient is there in ward looking π left and right no operation is going on because there is no Hernia Mesh in the hospital.
Patient should learn to Listen to Doctors and not Politicians.
