Held to answer by the court on Murder, Assault on Child Causing Death, and 273A(A) Child Abuse.

Both return to court on June 22, 2206 on the charges.

Both Butler and Power remain in custody on no-bail.

People v. Rafael Ruvalcaba, case number 26CR634.

Charged with Murder with use of a firearm.

Ruvalcaba has pled not guilty and returns to court on August 4, 2026 for preliminary hearing.

Ruvalcaba remains in custody on no-bail.

People v. Jaime Garcia Zamora, Case No. 24CR1265.

Zamora pled guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter with use of a firearem and possession of rugs in the Jail.

Zamora stipulated to a term of 17 years in state prison.

Sentencing June 22, 2026.

Guilty plea to Penal Code Section 187, Second Degree Murder, with personal use of a firearm pursuant to Penal Code Section 12022.53(c).

Sentenced to 35 years to Life in state prison
