@VivianB70 @Microinteracti1 ICE does, in fact, shackle people they arrest, and keep them shackled during transport. In many ICE detention jails people are also kept shackled all day and all night. This is a fact.

@DianeMcKenna22 @MeidasTouch Headlines aren't written by the reporters. Headline writers write headlines. I've often wondered if firing 1 or 2 NYT headline writers would make a difference. Otoh, management approves the headlines, so... Story content often doesn't match the headline at all at NYT.

@mammasaysstuff @kyledcheney @ReichlinMelnick Developer mentality. My city, in a semi-arid, water-short area, had a tree ordinance. A developer lost in court, was requited to preserve trees. Woke up a few mornings later to find the whole property clear-cut. The fine was just a cost of doing business.
