Women standing up for themselves is bringing about a much-needed revolution. Men need to respect women, be more sensitive towards them and not objectify them. This sensitivity and respect must be instilled from the teenage years.
Young men must also learn to manage and channel lust, aggression and other strong impulses in healthy ways. Music, dance, physical exercise, yoga and meditation can all help. Pranayama can be very effective in cultivating greater balance, sensitivity, sensibility and empathy.
Leadership is not only about how we respond to the world around us. It is also about how we manage what is happening within us.
At Newsweek’s Winning the Leadership Mind Game, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar shared perspectives on clarity, resilience, composure, focus, and sustaining performance under pressure. [https://t.co/bLlPZZDOSo]

Extremely poor reporting by @BBCWorld
It was not a fight between pilots.
It was a fight between a terrorist and a hero. A Hindu hero saved lives of passengers by showing extraordinary courage.
Shame on BBC for such poor reporting standards.
Thank you PM @netanyahu for proactively naming and decisively honoring the extraordinary brave act of Indian captain Smit Machchar that saved 180+ lives today from a probable 9/11 like terrible crash and terrorist attack on Israel. Much appreciated by all Indians.
A salute to Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, opened the cockpit door and helped passengers and crew overpower the attacker, preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster and saving 174 lives.
We all are praying for his speedy recovery.
Captain Smit Machchhar is a HERO.
In the face of the gravest danger and despite being seriously injured, he showed immense courage and an unwavering resolve to protect the lives of others.
His valour helped save hundreds of lives and avert a great tragedy.
India is proud of Captain Machchhar.
Praying for his speedy recovery, renewed strength and good health.
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.

@Gurudev met with world leaders at the United Nations during a particularly volatile week. He tells “NewsNation Prime” he gives heads of state simple advice: “I tell them take a deep breath in and trust that things will go better.”
Gurudev’s SKY Breathing at the heart of a new UCLA study on teen mental health.
UCLA researchers studied 174 teenage girls at two Southern California high schools taking SKY Schools, a program that combines social-emotional learning with SKY Breathing. Girls with four or more adverse childhood experiences saw a 7 percent increase in social connectedness, more than their peers and a wait-list control group. The study looked at the SKY Schools program as a whole, published in the Journal of Research on Adolescence.
The full piece also covers Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s conversation with Dr. Mayim Bialik on Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, and SKY Schools’ reach of more than 173,000 students, teachers and parents at 265 U.S. schools.
Speaking to NewsNation Prime, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar reflected on his interactions with world leaders over the years and the importance of inner stability in leadership.
Peace in the world begins with peace in the minds of those who lead. Calmness brings clarity, clarity inspires compassion, and compassionate leadership can transform conflict into dialogue.
“Take a deep breath.”
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s message to a world facing stress and uncertainty: pause, breathe and respond with greater calm.
Speaking to NewsNation Prime, Gurudev highlighted the power of breath and meditation in finding inner peace.
