@EduMsJDAN42 @jhlm2004 @ONT_Dad @waltonmom The average wage is around $27.50 per hour. CUPE was asking for an increase of $3.25/hr each year. So that’s effectively a 11.7% increase. So after 3 years, the avg wage would then be $36.25 from $27.50 - about 35% higher. No employer can afford that.

Their "year" is 42 weeks.
$39,000÷42 = $930/week.
They get paid for 35 hour weeks.
$930÷35 = $26.50/hour.

So the average wage is $26.50/hour.
