Austria, I’d be careful. Serbia has warm friends in the Russian people and Russia has an ally, France there are plenty of complications to to be feared. An ultimatum isn’t smart. Heard an ultimatum by Austria to Serbia should be delivered on July 23 in Belgrade @AlisonDawes1

Just heard that a retired Austrian diplomat had been invited to sit in on Ba secret discussions broke the news to the British ambassador in Vienna that Austria-Hungary was going to issue and ultimatum to Serbia with German backing.. oof😬 #july15 @AlisonDawes1 #kowwi20

Never would have thought the assassination of the Archduke would have significance. After all, things like this happened in the Balkans. The Serbians had murdered their own king and queen. The summer of 1914 in Europe seemed to be going through a calm after the turbulent years.

Wrapping up my time working for the British Museum on archaeological excavations😭. Things are heating up between Austria-Hungary and I think it might by high time to serve my country too. Is British intelligence in my future? We shall see. 😏👀 #kowwi20
