"It might be, I don't know..." Katherine commented.

"Tests? What do you mean by that?"

Katherine asked Ekko.

"Do you mean testing things out to see if something happens? Then I guess I do."

“ Must’ve been something special in you. Not like you’d have been the first person to ever wander in that cave. So maybe. . . ”

“ . . .Do you like tests? ”

"That's kinda funny...people calling it that, even before it was used for a coven." Katherine said laughing too.

"I guess in a way they predicted it without knowing it."

"Yes, though over the years the house acquired an undeserved reputation, even while uninhabited: the locals called it 'the witch's mansion.' Imagine how my mother laughed when she started fixing it up and decided there would be a coven in here," she replied with a laugh.

"I went there a few days after it happened. Nothing happened after that. I don't know it if it was something special, for it to cause me to get powers. Or something else."

“ Have you gone back there at all since you got your abilities? ”

"Interesting." Katherine said listening to her. "That makes sense he would get a house like this. It makes him look wealthy and powerful.

Plus it looks like a good spot for a coven too. Especially if there are going to be a lot of people here, training and learning."

She walks with her. She finds the style of the building to be beautiful.

"Nice place. It almost makes me think of a castle or a museum." She comments.

She then follows her up the stairs.

Malu led her into the house through the main entrance. A spacious foyer featuring fine wood and marble floors welcomed them inside.

They walked down the hallway toward a grand staircase—reminiscent of *Gone with the Wind*—to go up to the next floor.

"I could make stuff float, though it took a lot from me at that time. So I decided to get some books so I can learn more about my abilities."

"It is nice to meet you too Ekko. My name is Katherine." She said to her. She reaches out to shake her hand.

“ Don’t know if I introduced myself yet actually, I’m Ekko. ”

"Thanks. A room would be nice." Katherine said as she walks with Malu inside. She liked how the building looked inside. It felt almost like a castle to her.

"I don't mind sharing it with other people here." She comments. "It's fine by me."
