Global host! In 2024 the CEE hosted the SEFI PhD Summer School - students from Europe and beyond came to explore their EER PhD journeys. The Integrated Engineering Education International Symposium welcomed leaders in the community to London to share best practice and challenges.
EDI - The CEE is always working on how to embed inclusive practice into the curriculum and improving student experience. Molly Lavender-Rose was recognised for her report looking into experiences of students with neurodivergent, physical, and mental health conditions.
Research in engineering education – UCL had 30 papers and workshops at this year’s annual SEFI Conference, and earlier this year the Centre published a report as part of RAENG's Engineers 2030 engineering policy project.

Outreach - The Engineering Foundation Year welcomed its 2nd cohort and a gift from UCL partner Avanade is providing 30 bursaries over 3 years to students on the programme. The UCL Ocean Health Challenge also recently launched - a national engineering design challenge for schools.
Festive Friday Feel-good post! 🧑🎄A look back at some of CEE’s activity in 2024. First up is celebrating staff – we celebrated 10 years of the IEP with a Faculty event, and hosted the 1st CEE Education Awards, recognising achievement across the Faculty’s staff, PGTAs and students.
In the #OceanHealthChallenge, engineering expert @tempest2349 will dive into what it means to be an engineer, guide you through designing innovative solutions, and present an exciting final pitch!
